Three weeks after his death, Kobe Bryant is getting a sweet message on his favorite holiday. Vanessa Bryant, Kobe's wife, posted a photo of the two of them accompanied by lyrics from Lauryn Hill's song "Tell Him." The caption also paid tribute to the couple's late daughter, Gigi.
"To my forever Valentine, I love you so much," Vanessa wrote in the caption. "Missing you so much on your favorite holiday. Te amo per sempre." She continued with a few words for her daughter, writing, "Kisses to you and Gigi in heaven. Happy Valentine’s Day, my babies. With all my love, your boo-boo."
Vanessa's famous friends offered words of love and support in the comments. Khloé Kardashian wrote, "I love you V! Your love will last forever and always."
Vanessa and Kobe were married for nearly two decades. Together, they shared four children: Gianna, Natalia, Bianka, 7-month-old Capri. The Valentine's Day post comes just days after Vanessa announced that she would be changing the name of the family foundation to honor her late husband and daughter. Formerly called the Mamba Sports Foundation, the new name for the nonprofit, which works to provide kids with access to sports to enrich their "socio-emotional and physical development," will now be known as the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation.
"Because there is no #24 without #2,” Vanessa wrote in the announcement, "we have updated the Mamba Sports Foundation to now be called the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation. Our mission remains the same — and stronger than ever — to provide opportunities to young people through sports."
