Tonight on FOX Gordon Ramsay’s Masterchef returns with an all-new episode on Thursday, August 1, 2019, season 10 episode 15 called “Small Dessert, Big Problems,” and we have your weekly Masterchef recap below. On tonight’s Masterchef episode as per the FOX synopsis, “The home cooks walk into the kitchen to discover a tower of beautiful macarons.
Special guest judge Candace Nelson, founder of Sprinkles cupcakes, sets the stage for the challenge and gives the home cooks 75 minutes to create one dozen macarons.”

Continuing in Sweet Week, there is a huge macaron tower in from of the home cooks. Tonight, one more will be eliminated. Everyone puts on their black aprons. Nick knows that he has to prove himself, he can’t really on his success early in the game. There is a special guest, the mastermind behind Sprinkles Cupcakes, Candace Nelson. Gordon congratulates Candace on 24 stores and for making the macaron tower. Everyone looks nervous, thank goodness they only have to bake one dozen macarons. The judges want to see at least two unique flavors. It is time to get down to the top ten, the home cooks need to prove themselves.
The chefs are trying be very careful, the judges are looking for perfection. Sarah is making her own preserves, Joe tells her to be careful there is not too much water in the finished product. Dorian is on the balcony and giving the home cooks support with positive words. Micah can’t believe it, his macarons started to caramelize. He doesn’t want to go home, he needs to fix this. Gordon doesn’t think Subha is going to make it. Micah is not the only one having problems, Nick had to put his back in the oven. Candace asks Gordon what happens if a chef doesn’t present, Gordon says they will go home.
Bri is really trying hard and so far, she is happy with her finished product. There are a lot of shaking hands. Joe is saying, just put them in the box, flavor or no flavor. Micah is upset, he didn’t finish. Wuta is also upset, he couldn’t get twelve in. Gordon says unfortunately one home cook is going home tonight.
Noah is up first, he made Raspberry & Chocolate Macaron, and a Coffee & Mint Chocolate Macaron. Noah tells them not to focus on how they look, they taste great. Candace says that they have no bite. Gordon says they are not good enough to get to the balcony.
Bri is up next, she made Chocolate & Orange Macaron, Chocolate Mint Macaron. Gordon says that visually, they are terrible. Candace says she would not display them in her stores. Candace felt that the shells were grainy, Joe is disappointed, Gordon says she is not going up to the balcony.
Joe tells Fred to come up, he made Cinnamon Infused Macarons with Mascarpone & Lemon-Berry Coulis, and Black Sesame Macarons. Gordon says they taste exceptional. Aaron welcomes him to the competition. Candace says she would sell them in her store. Gordon tells Fred to go up to the balcony and bring the macarons to Dorian to try.
Micah is next, he made Lavender Macarons, and Lemon Macarons. Candace says she thinks that he was cooking them in too high heat. Gordon tells him to go stand beside Noah and Bri.
Nick made Rosewater & Pistachio Macarons, and Passion Fruit Macarons; he made eleven. Gordon says you never put macarons in an oven twice. Candace says it is a shiny shell with no body inside. Aaron says it is not a good representation of what he can do. Nick also remains downstairs.
Wuta made Lemon & Blueberry Macaron, and Orange Carrot Cake Macaron; he made seven. Candace says there are many technical issues, and they are shockingly sweet. Gordon says they are so sweet he can’t take a second bite. He stays downstairs.
Sarah made Raspberry Rosewater Macarons, and Blackberry & Almond Macarons. Gordon says they look really messy, but she has the color – they are delicious. Gordon tells her that she has redeemed herself, she heads up to the balcony.
Shari made Saffron & Cardamom Macarons, and Dark Chocolate Macaron. Candace says they are perfection. Gordon says she is way beyond the top ten, they are the best macarons he has tasted in ten years. Shari heads up to the balcony.
Subha made Orange Macaron, and Rosewater Macaron. Joe says as deformed as they are, the flavor was good. Candace says they have a nice chew, but they are maca-wrong. Gordon tells him that he has one foot out the door, he stays downstairs.
Jamie made Vanilla Latte & Espresso Macarons, and Raspberry Macarons. Candace says they look beautiful. Candace says they are wonderful, he delivered. Gordon says they were executed beautifully. Jamie heads up to the balcony.
There are six people in the bottom. The judges go to deliberate. Bri, Micah, Nick and Noah did not present with their best work, and any other night, anyone of them would be leaving. Tonight, the four of them are safe and head up to the balcony.
It is down to Wuta and Subha. Unfortunately for one of them they have cooked for the very last time in the Masterchef kitchen.
