CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The NC DMV is going to offer expanded hours at its west Charlotte office starting next month.

The expanded hours, including Saturday hours, will start on March 2 at the office at 6016 Brookshire Blvd. It will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, and from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekdays.

The change is being made in an effort to improve customer service and reduce wait times, officials said.

The west Charlotte office is one of three that will be the first to offer the expanded hours. The others are in Greenville and North Raleigh. Other offices will begin offering extended hours in coming months, officials said.
