Charlie Puth has unveiled a new track called ‘If You Leave Me Now’, a collaboration with the legendary Boyz II Men.
Taken from Charlie’s forthcoming album Voicenotes, ‘If You Leave Me Now’ is a ‘hit you in the feels’ offering and is far removed from his recent tracks ‘Attention’ and ‘How Long’.
This time, the focus is on the vocals with minimal production. The a capella ballad is a heartbreaking track which sees Charlie pleading with his lover not to walk out on their relationship.
Oozing plenty of RnB soul, the track reminds us of how versatile Charlie’s voice is. Boyz II Men, one of the greatest vocal harmony groups of all time, are a brilliant addition to the track too, with their voices complementing Charlie’s perfectly.
Speaking about the song on Twitter, Charlie described it as “probably one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written”. Boyz II Men also shared the song, tweeting: “Had a great time working with @charlieputh on this record. Pure talent.”

‘If You Leave Me Now’ was unveiled following Charlie’s announcement that the release of Voicenotes has been pushed back due to production.
Taking to Twitter, Charlie said: “I’m producing this album all myself and with that comes a lot of work, and in my opinion, the album is not perfect yet.” Instead of its original January release, Charlie’s new album will now be with us on May 11.
Anything good is worth waiting for and after hearing three of its incredible tracks, we’re more than happy to wait a little longer for Voicenotes.
‘If You Leave Me Now’ is available now. You can also pre-order Voicenotes here.
